So thanks to the Starscream Pro and all the guys that have helped me establish that organization, we're really excited to get that going and we will keep you guys updated on all that stuff. Okay, so the basis of the show Bella, everybody was at Vision's yesterday or, excuse me, last week. Yes, And that's in Mid-America Offroad Park in J Oklahoma, right? Okay, so what was the whole deal? It was like a huge event.

Speaker 3:

Oh, it was insane. There was Barbie Jeep Racing and a bunch of other stuff. The river, It was pretty nuts.

Speaker 1:

There was always something going on, Yeah what was your favorite part about the whole week? Because I heard there was so much stuff to do.

Speaker 3:

I would say the concerts were probably the best. The music was pretty cool, always kept everyone rowdy. There was bull riding, which was crazy to see. Yeah, it was pretty rad, pretty intense. You're always on your tiptoes.

Speaker 1:

Always on your tiptoes is an understatement, right, because there's racing all over the place. They had Natural Rally Christ there too, so Travis Pastrana brought all of his crazy crew out there. I saw they did like a backflip, you know? Yeah, i was pretty rad, dude. that's wild, right, yeah. And then they have some other stuff too, like concerts and different events, right, like what was going on.

Speaker 3:

I know there was Tim Montana, a cowboy singer, and stuff like that. There was a lot of other cool things, but I don't know. It was definitely crazy. They had a whole schedule with a bunch of stuff, that everything was hour by hour of what they were doing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's kind of crazy. Oh, they had it all listed out, it was all lined up.

Speaker 3:

They had you ready to go doing one thing after another.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, there you go, okay. So Travis Pointer said, yeah, nitro Cross, yeah, all right. So we'll see if we can get Cowboy to come on in just a little bit here. Hi, brooklyn, how are you Tell Dustin Jones? Oh sorry, they're in the airport, is what Dustin Jones is saying. So hopefully they can get logged on here in just a little bit. We'll get our fingers crossed, keep our fingers crossed, all right. So one of the things that I like best about off-road racing in general, bella, is the youth, right, like you're sitting here next to me because you want to learn a little bit about broadcasting and kind of getting yourself out there more. But you're, truthfully, an off-road racer. Yeah, same, right. So you're both, and that's what I love most. And a lot of the people and a lot of the kids that are going to come on today are the same, and there was like hundreds and hundreds of kids out there. You must have been so hyped.

Speaker 3:

No, the 170 class was stacked with like 20 or 30 cars, which is crazy to me, but especially like the little girls in there, women representing the whole industry is. it makes me really proud.

Speaker 1:

Yeah it's kind of cool to see them. I'm like especially to have a place like Mid America Off-Road Park that like really opens the floodgates to having everybody show up. What did they say? Like if you build it, they will come. Yeah, like that's basically what they did, right. So yeah, it is cool. We're going to wait and give cowboy and Dustin just a little bit of time here. They said the airline canceled their flights. That's terrible. Right Way to mess up the dirt life show.

Speaker 1:

Oh I know guys Who knows what airline it is, though. Right, But thank you guys for hanging out with us. What are some of the cool things that you saw happen Mostly in the youth classes this week or this last week There?

Speaker 3:

was a lot of competition. I didn't really realize how aggressive these kids were until I saw them start driving. What do you?

Speaker 1:

mean Like bumping and banging.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, they bump and bang and then my favorite part is they get out and they're just best friends right after. Like they don't, it's still good on and off the track. You know, i think those things totally separate, which I love.

Speaker 1:

I feel like we need to carry that vibe into like grown up racing, like don't be a dick when you get out of the car. Right, let's see. Travis Pointer said pilots are busy watching dirt life show. Yeah, they need to hang up on the dirt life show and get cowboy Seroni on over here. Looks like we don't have them just yet. Hailey, yeah, bella's killing it, dude, i appreciate Bella coming and spending her time here. Hey, so fun fact Bella is what 16 now? Yes, i am. She drove by herself here last time she came to help me close the dirt life show Mom had to bring you, so does it feel good?

Speaker 3:

No, it feels really good. I'm pumped.

Speaker 1:

I'm pumped to be on the road, Did you Well? so I was going to ask that question about being on the road. Did you get to help drive it all with the bus and the trailer?

Speaker 3:

No, no, no, that's my dad's job. I was sleeping. I was in the back snacking Netflix.

Speaker 1:

Oh, racers got to get rest. That's it. Excuse me, that's hilarious dude. All right, michelle, prince Car is joining us and thanks, michelle for hanging out with us. Yeah, so I really wish I was there at Mid America. I think it was something that I really missed. I get to go over there in a couple of weeks actually to do some testing in some Honda vehicles, so that'll be pretty fun. But I'm still jealous that you guys got to go there, because I wanted to go on the Lazy River and I wanted to eat tacos with everybody And I really wanted to watch some of the racing, mostly because I want to see the like the layout of the park. Brian Atkison, who you know that helps with the Outlaw series or operates Outlaw series, is now helping with Mid America. He was telling me that the facility has a bunch of different tracks. Is that right?

Speaker 3:

Yes, they do.

Speaker 1:

So what were some of the different tracks? So I know they had Nitro Cross and then what else?

Speaker 3:

They had Nitro Cross, they had R-Track. There was the UTV track. Yeah, the UTV track. There's Pipike tracks. I know there's an RC car track. There's a lot of different. There was like RC car national right. Yes, it was crazy to see all these grown men with little controllers.

Speaker 1:

Dude, they get hot and bothered too, like they get really angry.

Speaker 3:

It's great, it's intense.

Speaker 1:

Did crews go over there and check them?

Speaker 3:

out? They probably did. knowing him, he was everywhere Oh. I see Did they have a Pipike race? Yes, they had a Pipike race. I unfortunately did not participate.

Speaker 1:

What do you mean? fortunately or unfortunately?

Speaker 3:

Unfortunately I wanted to, but I just got new tees. I don't want to break them.

Speaker 1:

Dude, yeah, you definitely don't want to do that, and Pipbikes will do that to you.

Speaker 3:

They will.

Speaker 1:

They throw you down pretty easy, right, yeah Yeah. And then there was some good racing too. So I think, from what I saw at least, that that track really lends itself very well to a lot of different option lines. So give us a little bit of a breakdown of actually we'll go into your racing, but give us a little bit of a breakdown of the tracks and what you got to experience, and then we'll talk about your racing.

Speaker 3:

So we got to experience the UTV track. It is a super laid out, super clean track. They have everything really put together. It did change over the last few years that I've been there. So this is my third year at Visions, but yeah.

Speaker 1:

Dude, you're local, yeah.

Speaker 3:

I hope so. I hope I become local.

Speaker 1:

So it was a really like. When I want to go race a track and I've raced a bunch of different tracks in my life I always look for the best racing conditions in the track, and I don't mean like a perfectly watered or groomed track, i mean like a track where you have options like you go outside, you go inside, you have passing lines. Did I have that?

Speaker 3:

Yes, they did have that. There was plenty of different type of driving styles that you could have used on this track.

Speaker 1:

Which I think is cool. So did you have some pretty good battles.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, Yeah, I had some pretty good battles, I'd say, especially in the expert class, more of an aggressive kind of tone. It was really cool, Yeah. So what classes did you race? So I raced women's NA and placed second. And then I raced no expert NA and then placed seventh overall.

Speaker 1:

Dude, really Yes, were you getting it?

Speaker 3:

or what. It was pretty intense, some of the best racing I've done.

Speaker 1:

Really Yeah, so you must be pretty proud of yourself. Good job, thank you. So what was the? you know, i don't know if you ever heard me say it, but like when you're in the zone, like you're in this, like tunnel, and you just like you're driving behind the wheel and you just all you can think about is a race and you feel like you're like, oh my gosh, i could put this car within an inch. Like, is that the zone you were in?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it was crazy Pushing the car to with limits and not worried about anyone behind you. It was really intense, but some of the coolest driving.

Speaker 1:

Did you have some good battles with people?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I actually did. Yeah, Josie Watkins actually the real hit is coming on to the show. She was in first right in front of me, So it was cool chasing after her.

Speaker 1:

Is she a really good driver, jess?

Speaker 3:

Yes, She's super talented, very good car. Very excited to talk to her.

Speaker 1:

So when you see a girl like that racing, are you like okay? well, if she's a little bit better than me, i'm not going to get pissed. I'm going to try to elevate my game and like, keep up with her.

Speaker 3:

It definitely pushes you as a driver and as a person too, like it's really cool to see someone above you so you know you can do the same.

Speaker 1:

That's exactly the way that you learn good too, because you have an open mind and a clear perspective. Yes, that's going to be awesome. So, from the beginning of the weekend until the end of the weekend, if you were going to put like a percentage ratio on it, like 10%, 20%, how much faster do you think you went on the last lap compared to the first lap?

Speaker 3:

I would say about 30% to 40% faster. Really that much. Yes, that's insane. I haven't been really driving the RS1 lately So I had like kind of a year, maybe half a year, break. So it was pretty like crazy to like go from nothing to everything, but I really, i really pushed myself.

Speaker 1:

And what about your family and everybody and all your friends and the pit crew and stuff that was helping support you? Were they like wow, bella, you drove fantastic?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, no, I had Kinley out there. She really helped a lot. My mom, my dad, they all, they all really supported. It was really cool.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, i'm just saying like for the progress, though, like you guys like do a download of information or a debrief, like on your way home or like after we got GoPro footage going on so we can look back see what lines we took.

Speaker 3:

I usually compare with my brother, So we know, you know, like what I could do better next year or what I need to, you know, keep it improving and stuff like that.

Speaker 1:

Did your brother race too? Yes, he did. How did he do?

Speaker 3:

He raced the pro stock class for the first time with Chase. Oh, really A little nerve wracking.

Speaker 1:

He's been jumping up quite a bit, But um yeah, I guess coming up to that next level, especially with how competitive that class is, because that's honestly one of the most competitive classes on the track.

Speaker 3:

Aggressive clean drivers, but aggressive for sure.

Speaker 1:

Right, but it's everybody that's coming up from the fast kids like dude. I always tell everybody that that's one of the best classes to watch because those kids have such it was so intense And their skill set is like yeah, and their skill sets mind blowing. Sometimes it's like ballet, seeing them both sideways. Oh yeah, yeah, it's crazy. And so your brother was stoked on his performance or I'd say he's pretty stoked.

Speaker 3:

He unfortunately had to fall back due to some mechanical issues. Oh, bummer, yeah, no, he'll get him next time It was. It was really cool watching him, especially Chase too.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, exactly. Well, there's your new friends, josie Watkins. She just joined us as well. So, hi, josie, we'll get you on in just a little bit. Here We're trying to see if we can give Cowboy and Dustin just a little bit more time.

Speaker 1:

They're stuck at the airport, so we're going to keep our fingers crossed that we can still get them on. If, for whatever reason, we can't, maybe we could do another Instagram live with those guys. What the airlines not screwing them over. So, to continue talking about the, actually what time is it? So we got a five. We got a little bit more time before Hunter and Cody come on. So I think it's really cool that you got to experience all that stuff. But I also want to understand a little bit about how you guys operate your program and the kind of stuff that you saw there, because I always talk about how Off-road is a collaborative effort and just a really good crew of people. Right, right, was there a lot of people that were coming into the pits helping other people with set-ups or broken cars or different things like that That you saw?

Speaker 3:

yeah, especially the people out there. They're super, super nice, super humble, but it's not something you can do alone. You need a program to help you out, like we. We had a bunch of people helping us out. If this was their job and they saw someone struggling, they would still go help them with their job, if that's just the kind of people we surround ourselves with.

Speaker 1:

But no offering has such a good camaraderie.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yes.

Speaker 1:

And then one other thing that I want to do is I wanted to go on the lazy river.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, that was, that was the best.

Speaker 2:

Did you see that jet ski?

Speaker 1:

guy. He was doing back Oh it was crazy. You know you watch the live or no.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yes, i did with the blue and suit and everything. Yeah, it was really cool.

Speaker 1:

Really, how does he do it?

Speaker 3:

It's just with the throttle, it just like flips, or it was a Brian car was telling me that those stand-ups were Built for that.

Speaker 1:

They it just like pops up.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, you just hit it and it goes dude, that's nuts, okay.

Speaker 1:

And then I was gonna ask you to like some of the coolest racing, at least that I saw from afar on social media Was two things I saw those electric cars which, with the professional drivers, look Insane cool, and the Volkswagen, yeah.

Speaker 3:

Yes, so which was?

Speaker 1:

your favorite out of both of those?

Speaker 3:

Um, I would have to say the electric cars were they just insane fast. No, they were insane fast and hitting everything like it was effortless It was. it was pretty cool to watch.

Speaker 1:

How about, like, when they Go into corners and come out of corners, since they have so much power, they really slide in a lot or they get traction.

Speaker 3:

Um, i would say they kind of slide a lot. There was really no traction, but it was cool watching some of the lines that they took when they were going close to tires and stuff you got some fans came And saying hi to you.

Speaker 1:

I said then you know these girl at heart, Oh yeah. And then it looks like she keeps trying to join the the live with us three later on.

Speaker 4:

I know.

Speaker 1:

It's funny, all right, and then mod kids What's up. So I Wish I was there.

Speaker 3:

No, it's, it's an experience, experienced.

Speaker 1:

It takes a lot of yeah, oh time came in, 21 said the electric cars ran on slick. Yeah, dude, that's crazy.

Speaker 3:

No, they were. They're pretty insane to watch on slicks.

Speaker 1:

Really, dude, that's wild. How can they get any traction on dirt on slick? I Wonder if that's on purpose, like by design.

Speaker 3:

Um, i would say the car, the track was pretty wide enough, you know, just be comfortable. But dude.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but that's got to be like peeling out all over the place.

Speaker 3:

Pretty, some experienced drivers up there.

Speaker 1:

It was a whole week of racing.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, pretty much, whether it was RC car racing or pitback racing, some type of racing, even Barbie Jeep racing, really, yes, what the heck is that you get in a Barbie Jeep and you go down this huge hill And whoever hits the water first wins, don't you bite the dust? Oh, it was like people were coming out of the water with blood and coming down their own.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Dude, it probably looks like a scary movie at the bottom It was crazy.

Speaker 3:

It was so crazy people just eating it.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I would wear a helmet.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, most of them had helmets and then some of them just straight.

Speaker 1:

Oh, is it that one thing where they're sliding down the hill? all crazy.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

Dude, I don't know Like you got your moto the next day and you're just going out tearing stuff up people were nuts.

Speaker 3:

It was crazy.

Speaker 1:

I mean that is pretty cool right.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's pretty cool.

Speaker 1:

And so we're gonna ask actually, was there any secret lines out?

Speaker 3:

on course, Not ones that I took. I mean, well, i did take a grass line, but that's about it. On purpose, yes, some purpose. Was it a fast? Yeah, it was fast. I got there. I did what I did.

Speaker 1:

Oh, there you go. Your mom says she wants to do the Barbie Jeep with Michelle next year.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, it's happening, We're doing it. Hey, you drew Barbie Jeep.

Speaker 1:

Your mom's gonna get all bloody dude, put a good helmet on your mom. Make sure she doesn't like totally eat crap. You're gonna have to take care of her if she's gonna want to race.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

She's making you wear all the safety gear. You got to make her do it too right. I'll take care of the mom and then as far as, like, the whole week goes, is it a really long, drawn-out process or are they pretty on time with all of the?

Speaker 3:

events and stuff really on time. They everything's on schedule, especially the practices and races, and you know Stuff gets done when it gets to get done and it is fun and super silly the whole week. But they do take the racing very seriously.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, it seems like they got a pretty good operation going there And I know it's gonna. I know it's gonna keep growing In terms of. Pointer also said that they're gonna build a new short course track And I forgot what else they said that they were gonna build there. But it sounds like, with all the stuff that they're doing there, it's gonna really start growing and a lot of people are gonna start going there. Yeah, dude, you're gonna have to get What do you want to call it like a vacation or Airbnb house out there that you can stay at they got little Cavits and stuff, so I'm gonna stay in oils.

Speaker 3:

Yes, like little houses great, they had to go food court tacos.

Speaker 1:

Dang. So basically you're saying I could just live there.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, i mean, they have tacos.

Speaker 1:

So do they have internet, because we could do the show. That's perfect. Oh, actually. So Michelle said that the rain actually messed up the schedule a little bit And there was a tonight tornado warning. I actually did have some of the guys from Maxis actually Messaged in and let us know that there was a tornado warning as well. But, man living in Oklahoma, that's something that you just got to deal with.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I was pretty gnarly.

Speaker 1:

All right. So let's see if we can get. I don't know if Hunter and Cody Miller are already online, but let's get you guys to join real quick and then we get the move forward And then if cowboy and Dustin are able to join, they can. Yeah, there you go. It's a reverse pointer, so that I have starlink and a spot you can use. That's perfect. Dude, did she see old mark Gomez on his freestyle jet ski? Yes, i did. Is that the one we were just talking about? Yes, okay, i'm for sure going to be there for the Barbie Jeep.

Speaker 3:

See, yeah, it's. It's intense, intense than most some of the races that were going on the problem is, is it's so intense?

Speaker 1:

because, like they're willing to kill themselves For a car BG?

Speaker 3:

those seatbelts know nothing, just straight down in this plastic little bin.

Speaker 1:

I mean. Someone say it's kind of dumb, but I would also say it's pretty gnarly.

Speaker 3:

Oh, it's you would have to have a lot of guts to be able to get pushed down a hill.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so what's the odds that your mom bails out at the last minute?

Speaker 3:

Um.

Speaker 1:

Or is she? or is she pretty, like if she says if she commits, she's committing?

Speaker 3:

yeah, i think my mom could commit to do that solid?

Speaker 1:

Oh, she'll commit Oh because they're gonna vibe off each other.

Speaker 3:

They're besties. If they just hold hands on the hill, they're good.

Speaker 1:

You think they're gonna do that? I hope so matching jeeps or you think they're gonna do different jeeps?

Speaker 3:

matching Gotta be twins. They're their besties.

Speaker 1:

Would you, would you do it?

Speaker 3:

Absolutely not.

Speaker 1:

I know I kind of still feel like I wouldn't because I feel like I would die going down the hill.

Speaker 3:

We'll live the next day.

Speaker 1:

Do they have any jumps?

Speaker 3:

No, it's just literally one steep downhill into a big puddle.

Speaker 1:

So how fast are you on?

Speaker 3:

pretty fast.

Speaker 1:

Is that? hopefully there's no rocks on the puddle.

Speaker 3:

I don't know this guy was coming out with blood and like a pretty gnarly smile.

Speaker 1:

You better be standing with the camera at the bottom of the hill. Uh, my sister, Brooklyn got third in your race. You were fast. Yeah Well, that's cool man. So there was a lot of girls racing.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah. No, that was really cool. The women's NA class and turbo class was pretty intense. Um, i love seeing all those drivers out there, so it's really cool.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, uh, tell us a little bit about, uh, the I don't want to say the logistics of your race, but the uh, how you started your race, um, how I was going in the middle and then how it ended, um so I started off third in the line and I kind of kept my way in and that there was some pretty gnarly flips from some of the girls, which was crazy.

Speaker 3:

I hope all of them are okay, but um, that made me get in second and then just chasing after josey, making sure I held my line, kept my corners and straights going and then I finished off the race, the women's class in second.

Speaker 1:

Were there any sketchy moments? Um pretty.

Speaker 3:

Um, pretty pretty, yeah, sketchy moments for sure.

Speaker 1:

Is it because you were pushing it past your limit? You think, or.

Speaker 3:

I, I would say I just there was just sometimes where I could have like chilled out a little bit. But I'm I'm glad with where I ended. I kept the car in one piece and it was ready for the next race. So they were back to back races too.

Speaker 1:

But oh, back to back, yes.

Speaker 3:

Yes, i went from women's to expert in less than 30 minutes, but did you get any?

Speaker 1:

food. No, no, really. So, uh, one thing that I'm proud of you for is, like, that's a hard management pinning with uh, you have diabetes, just like I do like, and so you were able to handle it and be able to get through all that. Yes, and that's a lot of time too, because that's probably a three-hour span that you were able to.

Speaker 1:

Dude, you're getting a lot better at controlling your stuff, dude, good job. Uh, all right. So I just texted uh text message Cody Miller, hunter Miller and Kyle Chaney, so hopefully they'll jump on here. Otherwise this is gonna be me and you talking about all this stuff, velar Um, and then we can get the kids on in just a little bit. So hopefully we'll get them to jump on. Uh, when you were out there And since you're learning, you're starting to go a lot faster than you were, like, let's just say, a year ago Yeah, um, were you able to know if, uh, like I could make a different tire pressure change? I could make a shock change.

Speaker 1:

Yeah are you getting that to be that good and in tune with your car, that you know what those things are for the next race?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, you have to be able to feel out the car and make sure that it's okay. That's what's practice for You know, you go into practice and then I come off the track and I tell my dad and I talk to him And I send him down and tell him everything that I need and stuff.

Speaker 1:

So Yeah, it takes work and knowledge but it's it's easy, and then they get back to you and let you know whether it's good, bad or whatever what they changed, how to feel it next time and and get it going.

Speaker 1:

Hunter Miller. What's up, dude? What's that Dude we're just talking about? uh, mao, are you feeling pretty, pretty sore? So give us a little bit of a rundown why you're feeling sore. Yeah, i do that. Remember how we were talking about how it was a wi-fi last time. I don't think it's the wi-fi, i think it's your speaker on your phone.

Speaker 6:

Maybe that'll work, maybe that'll work. Anyway, i need to do that. I'm ignoring Uh yeah, there's actually that that can you down down a still line line Going up to a soon it in the first you can easily overshoot you, what it wasn't, and then why last what you had to really check breaks, or you over, jump over a lot of it and I was over Every single Can I go and so I'm soaring out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, i can only imagine, plus the short course cars. For anybody that's like watching on the list or watches desert racing is that the short course cars are like, let's just say, nine to 12 inches off the ground and they are sass like. So what hunter's talking about is like You don't almost have time to judge what's coming up next, unless you're like really muscle memory. Uh, all right, hunter, we're gonna try to see if we can get uh uh Kyle chaney on here, so you guys have that time talking together. There's some dude, uh, kyle. Actually, what you should probably do is upgrade your instagram app on your song, because they had an update and instagram sucks. So if you update your app on your phone, you'll probably have an easier time connecting.

Speaker 6:

Uh, all right, so a point of amateur.

Speaker 1:

He knows how to drive a can am, but he can't even update his phone. No, no, it's terrible. So give me a little bit of a of a rundown hunter on the uh, uh, the race in itself. So, uh, and I mean, like, how many people were there? Uh, the track, like, does it lend past, lend a good passing, like can you drive different lines? that kind of stuff, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6:

I want to tell you before this I had no idea. It was like like a man Really, yeah, yeah, i got gosh. That was crazy, that's crazy.

Speaker 1:

Dude with Bella and I were just talking about. It's like one of those things like what do they say? if you build it, they will come.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, that's what I want to go on. I'll know they. Uh, it's not but that I ever summit. I gave some time. I don't plan playing for four years or so and it's absolutely wild. I heard there about three, three, four way. Well, in faith, one, one or 30 out there.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, really they got three stages.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, you can, yeah, you can imagine. So Out there I see, whenever we're on the side, the side. I know, you know, last last ball thing thing, and when we were there two weeks before, to the side of side, uh, i don't you know if I trip like trip, and by the time and by the time here there was an all last, all way, and then, and then The bottom, and then I, i found the hill where guys were over there. It was like like a whole that I.

Speaker 1:

Dude, that's so crazy. It's getting pretty cool to see that, though I mean like I always wish they could do it in california, but there's like zero way that would ever happen in california. So it's kind of nice to see. Uh, how far is the j Oklahoma from you guys in texas? Hey, so the content jr media said to take your phone off speaker, i don't think that's even possible on instagram. Yeah, it's like. Well, it's not like, uh, like repeating or like echoing, but it, uh, it's like. I think the repeat or whatever is making it bog out, so we hear only every third word. Do you want to log off and log back in, maybe?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, let me try.

Speaker 1:

All right, cool, i'm gonna see if I can get kyle on real quick. Here you go. Do you think it's funny how good of a relationship they all have together, all the yellow and black guys from canam? They just have fun together, right Yeah the whole clean sweep to first thing and third.

Speaker 1:

I know that's what I like. I texted Uh, why am I forgetting your name? Uh, from canam, valery from canam. I texted her and I go, dude, they all look the same. Like, how am I supposed to box? How am I supposed to tell who's who right? Yeah, uh, kyle chaining. Dude, you got to update your instagram app. Bro, figure it out, go to your app store and your phone and update your instagram app And then we'll get you on buddy. I texted you to do it too, so we're gonna give you crap when you get on the show.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

Uh, kody weller should join too. Kody bailed on us last time, though, so i'm gonna have to give him some crap. Let's get to the races last time. Uh, it is kind of crazy, though that what like if we're not serious now that hunter was talking about um, kind of over shooting stuff, and what I get from that, being an x professional short course racer as well, is He was pushing really hard, yeah, because the pace was so fast, like keeping up with Kyle chaney or staying in front of his brother. Could you feel some of that pressure too, with the drivers of you around, like I can't make a mistake or I got to go that much faster, like I have to push myself?

Speaker 3:

you really have to stay with them. There's a matter of seconds or else, like you know, you start falling off. It's, it's super intense.

Speaker 1:

Was it hard for you to do that? because that's sometimes difficult to manage in your head.

Speaker 3:

Um, women's na and expert na they're both, like, have different aggressions for each class. So I had to really, like you know, calculate some of the jumps. Like the rhythm section was one, two, three. So if I wanted all three to be good, i had to calculate the first one correctly So the rest could kind of fall into place, you know really Yes, That's kind of wild right. Yeah, no it's. It's crazy.

Speaker 1:

You got some gnarly footwork on the pedals, but Yeah does it make you feel like you're getting better or does it make you feel frustrated, like how does it make you feel when you're not?

Speaker 3:

gonna try to not have like a hot head, It's like a hot temer or anything like that. You know like you gotta keep breathing, keep calm and Just think.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, i guess you're right. Like that's a It's a hard thing to handle, like and I talk about this in life in general is like Growth and being open to that growth. Like it takes a while and you have to really be open and have an open perspective To be able to learn how to do all that.

Speaker 3:

Yes, I agree.

Speaker 1:

All right. Well, i don't know what's going on with with Kyle Cheney's With his Instagram. We'll see if we can get hunter Miller on. Uh, how about now? Oh, dude, that's so much better, really. Yeah, like it sounds perfect now, instagram, instagram, oh, perfect. There you go. I don't know what's going on with Kyle's, though. Uh, i don't know. Maybe we need to update our Instagram app or something, but it doesn't seem like Kyle can get on, so Yeah, it's not very smart, Very smart.

Speaker 1:

Uh, what about your brother? Did he bail on us? Also not very, also not very smart. Do you think he's out fishing, or what I don't know.

Speaker 6:

I'm here to be late today, though, so Uh, uh.

Speaker 1:

So I got a message from trevis pointer. He said there was 287 entries for short course and over 570 racers for all of the events. That's pretty sick.

Speaker 6:

You have your imagine it two years ago stand 287 at a full first race.

Speaker 1:

No, absolutely not like dude. I remember a luke's professional days like we were stoked if we got like I don't know, let's just say 50 to 60 like yeah, like Dude, that's wild man.

Speaker 6:

You know in 2020 how long we were at tax planks. Why broke 100?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, this is.

Speaker 3:

I remember that.

Speaker 1:

And this is, let's just say, triple that.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, no way it grew.

Speaker 6:

Dude that's wild, the big, big good system on a spec status They had there. Well, did they have a lot? Oh, i'm telling you, george is like one of those places you can't describe on it, just have to see it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, i definitely want to get out there. Um, i do get to go out there. I got to go out there in a couple weeks, but it's not for a race. So, um, it'll be interesting to go out there and at least see it. Maybe I'll get to have some fun driving around that place a little bit. Um, what's the next big race that's over there?

Speaker 5:

I think there's another.

Speaker 6:

They're in America. Short course in the end at Iwawa.

Speaker 1:

Oh, here we do. Now Kyle's coming up with excuses. He's at Crandon, he doesn't have enough internet, uh-huh.

Speaker 6:

I'll back it.

Speaker 1:

I'll back it, that is true. Well, that's awesome because he makes plans for the Dirt Life show, so it makes me feel really apart. But there, well, at least thanks for you being solid. You know what's funny, though, bella, he's the only one that was honest with me and said I don't know if I'll be able to join, and then he's the only one So far, yeah, so far. Even Cowboy and Dustin bailed on us too, because their airlines screwed them at the airport right now. So you're solid, dude. Yes, you're solid. Now we're going to ditch you for the kids in a little bit. Was it cool to see actually the kids racing? Because Bella got a bunch of kids to come on the show tonight?

Speaker 6:

It was non-starred. It's race space there the whole time. They have quite a few to get to glasses, so that's what it's got hard for me to keep up with, but I know every single one of them is full and it's some good race, i'm sure it Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I love seeing the kids, man. That's like one of the best things. And you know what we were talking with Bella about right now, Hunter and you've gone through this in your professional career is she's at one of those stages where she can see herself going from, like, let's just say, the novice class to the intermediate class, to the expert class, And those steps are very, very distinct when you're that young, right Like, and she noticed that she was like about what'd you say 30% or so faster at the end of the week or at the end of the week compared to the beginning of the week, So like, when I hear stuff like that, it makes me so excited.

Speaker 6:

Oh, absolutely, i mean, of course, at her age, like you're progressing really fast. Yep, when you get to my age, you're just like trying to pipe her in.

Speaker 1:

Well, we were just talking about that, though, because, like you and all the guys right Like you, guys are at the top level at side by side racing, and the speed and the I don't know the time differences are so minimal. The speed is so fast that that was the reason that you had to push so hard during your race and overshoot that jump is because you're trying to make up those milliseconds Like that's bonkers. That side by side racing has gotten that gnarly.

Speaker 6:

Yeah And my, I felt like qualifying quite a bit soon.

Speaker 1:

What happened at Qualify?

Speaker 6:

We went out and I went out, made about half of what happened when I was in the Georgia circuit And, oh crap, i had to go straight back to that and even make a lap, so I had to start dead long.

Speaker 1:

No way, really. Yeah. Yeah, it's not good, dude, that sucks, but you made it all the way up to the second place, so yeah well, I don't know, I came up with it before And, yeah, even had some spin outs and dropped along the way and but ended up fourth in that moto.

Speaker 6:

And then second moto got second, mine, mine, so six, two got me second over all. Everybody kind of had me.

Speaker 1:

So oh, yeah, and they do moto style format there. huh Yeah, i actually really liked that Cause. then you get a chance for redemption. You don't just go out there and blow your wad in the main event. You know what I mean.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, definitely. I mean, I think I would like it both ways. You know, if it's going to be two day events, I think the motors format school, but I also think a main event on Saturday and a main event on Saturday will be awesome too. You know, that way you have double chances to win.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, exactly, all right. So I'm going to show a little video here to yourself and to the audience And I'm going to ask, since your brother's not here, to defend himself. He said I'm not about his line choices Like he's got a secret line here And then look at the next video, like, and this is all by your media guy as well, so another secret line. Look at that.

Speaker 6:

Right through the middle If you go back, so you can see how strong it is coming down that hill, because they do.

Speaker 1:

But that was actually the sickest line though, because like he executed that pretty much perfect, like I don't think there's any better way to execute it than the way that he did.

Speaker 6:

So yeah, you can see it's kind of using the inside tire like going to burn.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, he's getting traction.

Speaker 3:

He's using all of the track.

Speaker 1:

Look at how flat sideways he got towards the bottom of it too. So anybody that's going to.

Speaker 6:

That was pretty sick though right, and that section is kind of weird. I don't want to. You know they meant for it to be a split lane, but you actually kind of the outside leads you into jumping that sideways, so sweet.

Speaker 1:

Was that one of the ones that was heard in your back?

Speaker 6:

Nah, that one does, so just some video of it later. But yeah, you come down and still and we're actually chatting about that later because they just kind of figured out what was my boosted risk But when we looked at it, my GPS speed coming down, i was right at on.

Speaker 1:

But do you have a lot of G-forces, then Oh yeah, yeah, like you're coming down sideways.

Speaker 6:

And then in the bottom there was a huge hole that if you hit it, i mean it would now slip down.

Speaker 1:

Oh really. So you must have been hitting some serious G-forces. Yet. That data actually helps quite a bit. I remember one time at Wild Horse Pass we were hitting something like in the first turn. I think we were only going in like I don't know, let's just say 75 miles an hour And we would hit the first turn and it would be upwards of 15 Gs For like, but it's just a millisecond, so it doesn't feel like that. But then you would hit jumps and you would have that smacking like what Hunter's talking about And we would actually blow the whole intake system off of our YXE Like they had to build a brace for it so that it wouldn't hold, because it would just pop the whole thing off. It was crazy. So that's why he was talking about his tubes coming off. Yeah, yeah, it could have been a part of my problem, right, jesus, hitting is so hard.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. But what's up? Just every time we'd go thriller and I would on by it, i would pass somebody right there so I couldn't quit doing it. Oh really, you had a hotline. Oh, it was good. Yeah, it was. They had watered right before us And so coming down that hill it was super slick in the groove But I was kind of staying out in the cushion actually quite a bit. There was muddy out there, but you could at least carry your speed And then you'd come off the first tape, pull top sideways this way, and then you'd get the gas and you'd come on the next one that's sideways this way, and then you'd bomb the last one.

Speaker 1:

That's kind of crazy. How was it then? So did you just have to prepare each time? Because I kind of see you in the car rotating back and forth, just like ahead of time.

Speaker 6:

And then I'm running SC1s out there And in the cushion. They don't have very big lugs because they don't have a whole lot traction in there anyway, So it was just kind of spinning all the time.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, kyle, if he was here he would say spinning as went in.

Speaker 6:

but he's not here, so yeah, well, it was the only one.

Speaker 1:

How was the racing, though? like at all seriousness, Because it looked like your guys' I only got to see a little bit, but it looked like the pace was just insane fast.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, it's not really. It's funny. Usually it's about, you know, bella making steps up over the years and stuff, and I was talking with somebody today about kind of the same day in our class, i think you know. Look who's here, cody Miller. What's up? Oh, i'm sorry I'm late to the party. All right, hunter could continue. Yeah, i was going to say like the 7, 8, 10 place today And see what, what a one a year ago.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that is kind of crazy. So, cody, just to catch you up, we're talking about, like the difference in pace Like nowadays compared to what it was a few years ago. It's pretty crazy, like, because you guys are fighting for milliseconds on the track but you guys are all driving really well, except for cheaters that are cutting the track, like somebody right here that we just showed a video like that one.

Speaker 6:

Well, I'm definitely going to use the whole track out.

Speaker 1:

Good, bella, did you see that line that he took, and then you, and then did you go to take it or not?

Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no, no, i got my own lines.

Speaker 1:

But seriously, like that's, that's a, it was a fantastic line and it's totally legal to do that, right? So it was like it was perfect for you to go out there and like actually execute on that, because you're trying to get traction and it's exactly what Hunter's talking about. You're fighting for milliseconds.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, i was. You know I had a tire on inside of that bull corner under actually turns completely just after running other people off the track.

Speaker 1:

So I know like he's taking his head. And they said oh, is he trying to act like he's perfect over here and he's actually the one taking people out?

Speaker 6:

or course track out there. I just I felt terrible.

Speaker 1:

But if you like him, hey, what car are you driving right now, cody? The reason I asked is because are you out near Hunter's house stealing his Wi-Fi?

Speaker 6:

Yeah, So I was just like I don't know.

Speaker 1:

You're away from me. It's hilarious, dude. You got so funny, so that's hilarious. What are you guys up to today?

Speaker 6:

Trying to get all our stuff back in line. Seems like we almost out of time. Just a mad dash to try and be prepared.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, dude, it's actually. So when's the next thing? you have to have every all the vehicles ready for.

Speaker 6:

We're going to be out a week, so maybe like our biggest break in two months.

Speaker 1:

So finally, you can go out to eat with the wives and make sure you treat them good.

Speaker 6:

I don't know if we have time for that.

Speaker 1:

Hey, so Kyle can defend himself. Let us know how his race went. Were you guys battling pretty hard, though? Because if you had to start from the back, cody, where'd you start at?

Speaker 6:

Well, the first all position but I came out second behind and it was really wet and slick that mud up And those tires on the wet. I was definitely not giving Kyle a run for his money or anything like that.

Speaker 1:

Oh, was he using knobby tires? Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6:

Nobby is kicking on, but then halfway the car was off. I worked dude because the track is getting like a flat.

Speaker 1:

Yeah that sucks. Did you have to change it or do you just run it all the time?

Speaker 6:

I have to raise my arms.

Speaker 1:

So you have to come from the back.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, in a second, and then when we took it back off, i dropped all the way to.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yeah, that makes sense, dude, it sounds like. It sounds like you guys had a pretty eventful weekend.

Speaker 6:

All over the place. For sure, we had a really good on the second motor. Both started well. We went on our fourth and sixth and came out first and second. So I don't really. Yeah, i'm still not sure how that happened. Like I got it, i was right, i'm fat as can. I got a great jump on him and tried to go to the left of him and then came into the turn and I was doing good and Cody just went motor and right through the middle of all of us.

Speaker 1:

Dude, what did you just have like a moment, or how did that work out? Uh, i just got the track.

Speaker 3:

Did really.

Speaker 6:

Nobody cares Right now. Nobody cares, that's fine, it's fine, it's fine, ah, it's.

Speaker 1:

Cody, that's funny, man. What about like the battling and stuff? like, because Bell and I were talking about it was there lines on the track where, like, you could take the outside and somebody else to take the inside, and it was like, even so, you guys could actually have a lot of fun playing around on the track?

Speaker 6:

Yeah, i'd say there's like one main race line but if you're faster than somebody in front of you, you can definitely find a way around because you've got a lot of options. The the track set big and wide that you know. You could just change the angles and and go around people pretty not easily, but you could definitely pass.

Speaker 1:

Right did uh Fokker fabs and uh Brody 44 keeps saying hunger is slow. So I don't know if they're your homies. Yeah, they're not, i don't think.

Speaker 6:

I like one of them.

Speaker 1:

I don't think I like one of them but okay, so in your guys is the class? I mean like again you're fighting for milliseconds. Does that mean that you have to push really hard to get around the guy and starting you? or like, because it seems like if there's one main line, it would be difficult to well, unless maybe the, as the track matures, it's going to start growing those lines around the outside or wherever, and those are going to get faster.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, you know yeah, you know like the lines change and we were there for a long, a lot of number and certainly where we set fast lap times in our qualifier we were not running the same lines in the pain and you know it's just ever changed the more laps to get burned, it gets more. I mean the tracks, so there's so many angles for the guys in the outfield Sometimes look and you know they've got like a tabletop leading the corner on the inside. Only that leaves this second half of the track wide open to have like a big, wide bull turn. It was really good And made it really well. I'm sure that you know watch the race can see for all the passes that have all the classes. That's not as far that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's what I was going to say, like. like, if I was just out there practicing, i would be taking those hero lines like all the way around. just that fun, just floating around the whole bar. I mean it looks so fun.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, i like how you said, the track changed quite a bit because you have the natural rally cars out there and they're obviously taking all the corners completely different than we do. So it and then they would, you know, move some inside barriers around a little bit in a couple of corners, and just the track was changing a lot, a lot under the course of the weekend. So whoever could kind of adapt to it the fastest was the one that would be going the fastest. Does that mean that you guys had a change set up or no? I didn't change my too much. I mean we we make very small adjustments for the most part, but you know, we didn't know if it was going to rain or not, I guess. So we had red tires on standby and but we weren't going to change too much with the jocks.

Speaker 1:

Wedd. you said you didn't really change too much, Did you go?

Speaker 3:

Well, not too much, Just easy little adjustments tire, pressure and stuff. but that's about it.

Speaker 1:

Did you get to watch the pro class races? Well, i did. Did you learn any lines from them? or learn, or learn what not to do? Either one of those, no it's.

Speaker 3:

It's crazy to watch your guys's races and kind of understand what lines I need to take. I learned a lot from you guys.

Speaker 1:

So what is something that you noticed?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, lines, competition, aggression, a lot of other stuff.

Speaker 1:

But Yeah, because it's teaching everybody with the visual cues, right, right. Can you kind of tell what they're doing, like inside the car, when you're watching them like with their feet and their hands?

Speaker 3:

Sometimes, yeah, cody, not really.

Speaker 6:

They got a reactant, i got white gloves, everything When they're watching us. We looked the slowest out there on November 30th.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I mean, we haven't gotten any comments that said you guys are fast So.

Speaker 6:

I would get mean that. I mean we're not, we're not very wild throwing it in the corners real hard or anything. You know everybody says we don't look like we're trying.

Speaker 3:

You guys are smooth and consistent, though, so that I think those are key things.

Speaker 1:

Well, that's the, that's the total thing. Right, like it's kind of like that What they used to tell us in dirt bike racing or ATV racing. Right Like the slower is faster, but it also, if you look smooth, you can go faster. Right, like that's the consummate for a level racing.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, and especially I thought I tried that, i thought I can tell you Yeah, totally.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to actually counter that, though, by showing you a video of somebody that uh yeah, it's not 120. For your perspective, that's a dude. How was it sliding down the hill right there? afterwards, though, holy crap, i was just glad that it came back around. All you were thinking it was going to the rear end was going to come around.

Speaker 6:

It is gnarly that next one has been a lot of people Oh did it? Oh it has. Yeah, the last two races actually, because it gets pretty tight.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, thank you to your content guy for getting us all this stuff. Dude, it's actually like you can. You can see it. Yeah, look how slick it was going in that corner, dude. Oh yeah, you can see the knobby tires right there just gripping Super cool videos though to actually check out. But that's some of the corners that I was talking about. Like, it looked to me like yeah, you said there was a fast line, but it looked to me like there could be other lines that burn it.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, no, it just takes traffic, that's all.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's true. Well, 287 cars, that's a lot of traffic. What were some of your favorite parts of the weekend, Cody?

Speaker 6:

Um, so many cool things that happened. Qualifying was really fun. You know, not really well, i didn't finish it at all, i already didn't, i already did really. But it was fun just going out there and breaking new track and just what they had done, the new things that we had to play with the next you know season. It was just cool exploring and finding out What all they had built well, not just that, but the titter and stuff as well, how much asphalt they care. Watching the ultra-floor race was really fun. I mean, gosh, there was so many things happen to him Yeah.

Speaker 1:

That's a pretty barely week to go through. Yeah, yeah, like it's almost like sensory overload, right hunter.

Speaker 6:

Did you guys get to go watch the RC race? then you thought by, if our friends I wanted to, i'd stop by for five minutes and watch it. No, it's like okay, i got to keep going over here and talk to this person and then I'd go back watch it for another 10 minutes. I've never really sat down and and watched anything because I kept moving, but it's pretty crazy. I'm not sure what that means.

Speaker 1:

I would have loved to know that there was a RC car race. Hey, you want to know what's funny though? fun fact, i know a couple of those RC guys better than I even know you guys. Yeah, it's one of my buddies, rent Mayfield, i think. He ended up getting third in the pro buggy class. He came out like he's a big side by side guy from Arizona, so he came out and watched you guys racing stuff too. He said it was so cool.

Speaker 6:

I Don't know him, obviously, but I know what it was. I was in that world for quite a while, for sure big RC guy over here. Not that big face to me. Can you drive with our seat car? good, i used to. That was pretty decent, for sure. I mean I was anywhere near that level, not even close, but so I was up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, the problem is is we all have ADD, we can't concentrate. Like they can't know. You want to throw a shout out to your buddy right there though, all right. So What? like what was some of the stuff that you enjoyed outside of the racing then? because you guys always like to have a pit party, you guys usually have some good food stuff. Like that happening, and I know that you guys were out there for a little while, so it was a little bit of a background of what was going on behind the scenes.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, The rodeo is really sweet Oh.

Speaker 1:

Really there was a rodeo to yes.

Speaker 6:

Instagram is coming around the bowl. No way.

Speaker 1:

Is that true, cully? yeah, 100%, he's got the bloody shins through it and you're trying to blame the racing for hurting your back there. Dude, that's great. Well, how was it hard? No way did you, did you see?

Speaker 3:

it. No, I wish.

Speaker 1:

I was. Did anybody get that on the video? I?

Speaker 6:

Like rust has it on video, i promise.

Speaker 1:

Okay, i'm gonna look at rest his page real quick and see if I can find it. Bella, did you see that? the little mechanical?

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, i was tempted to ride one, but that was like I have to race, so no, i'm not going to.

Speaker 1:

So you're smarter than the professional. That's funny, man. I do think it's cool that you guys had all of the ability to be able to go out there and have a good time with it. Let's see here. I don't see it on here. Oh, go, mine, it's not yours. Okay, i'll look and see if I can find it. But tell us about a little bit, about behind the scenes, like with you guys, because We were talking about camaraderie and support mechanisms here. You both have a really open pit and you guys will help any of the other drivers that come around and you guys have good setups and stuff like that. So give me an understanding of how many people come by, how many people talk to you guys and just spread the joy of offer.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, for sure, like you said, we're we're kind of an open pit. No, it's like just air set up with everybody, because I don't like seeing people struggle and not have fun.

Speaker 2:

Oh, dude, that's giving.

Speaker 1:

That was actually not bad, like I kind of want to give your pops to that dude And your t-shirt how many seconds did you last Dude?

Speaker 6:

that's actually pretty good Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I'm here. No, it wasn't one on the real bull.

Speaker 6:

I think he's great for the real ones. Was it gnarly?

Speaker 2:

I mean you wore shorts and a Hawaiian shirt, basically.

Speaker 6:

So I mean like the gear was pretty on point to.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's right. You guys got big sponsored by Nixon, now I, but no one. It was.

Speaker 6:

I like a week honestly, canaan Baker The bakers. To me that comes spot for Canaan for the nitro rally race and I bet you never done that before So I was trying to figure it out a little bit of time. But you know, watching the improvements he made over the course of the day every time you went on the track was actually Brief of billing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it is kind of cool to see the behind the scenes right to get the other end of the spectrum, because then you have a Really understand and respect what people do like when they are spotting for you. Yeah, no, absolutely It's, it's cool.

Speaker 6:

You know you, you want to like grab the wheel from them and say, no, don't do it like that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but yeah exactly like you're inside the car You know milk crying to Explain what I do and put it into words rather than just naturally doing.

Speaker 6:

It was kind of a challenge Also that I'd figure out. So it was fun. It was the little bit different, it was fun. Yeah, that is cool. All right, cody.

Speaker 1:

So we asked Bella the same question a little bit earlier, when you got to the races, compared to your last lap, your first lap, compared to your last lap, how much improvement do you think you made over the whole weekend?

Speaker 6:

I haven't honest any of the time, so I can't tell you the real answer, but I felt I shaved Wow, that's pretty good. So I'm gonna go ahead and say that. I'm gonna go ahead and say that. I'm gonna go ahead and say that.

Speaker 1:

Wow, that's pretty good. So, bella, like everybody, even the professionals are still gaging that they're kind of like trying to get better and better as the weekend goes. Yeah.

Speaker 6:

I actually did look at the lap and he got a five lower. No way They keep qualified with like a 135 and in the race running like 140s.

Speaker 1:

So I can guarantee Cuddy's a ruttle right now. I was gonna say, yeah, i was track changes.

Speaker 6:

I mean, i was actually muddy so The track just slowed down a little bit compared to walled by, and I don't know sure why, but it did where everybody.

Speaker 1:

Well, that's the exact kind of thing that I was talking about, right, like the lines will change and new lines will burn in, depending on where the races go And the level of competition out there in the future, because some of the lines will get better. I mean, you'd look at tech specs last time we were there, compared to the first time you were there, like it was massively different.

Speaker 1:

Yeah it is All right, so we were gonna play. Are you smarter than a third grader with cowboy and Dustin? since they're not gonna be able to come on, or whatever they're doing at the airport, let's ask them three questions, the best out of three. Bella's got some good questions here, all right, so let's pick a question, bella. Okay. So, guys, your name is your buzzer, so whoever says their name first gets to answer the question first. We're gonna do two out of three and now we're gonna play. Are you smarter than a third grader with Hunter Miller and Cuddy Miller? Bella, what's the first question?

Speaker 3:

What is the largest planet in our solar system? Cuddy.

Speaker 5:

See it, that was a good move.

Speaker 6:

Because, you can steal too, that, or?

Speaker 3:

You're close.

Speaker 1:

It is close.

Speaker 2:

Jupiter. I said, you didn't say Jupiter.

Speaker 6:

You didn't say Jupiter, we didn't, we had. Well, they had one.

Speaker 1:

If you didn't say Jupiter, we legit didn't hear it, uh.

Speaker 6:

What's up All?

Speaker 1:

right, who in? are you guys ready for your second question? Who invented the telephone Hunter? Does Hunter, hunter's, hunter's getting a lifeline or something? I'm sure that's in right. I think Hunter fell down.

Speaker 6:

I like the underground out he totally got a lifeline Cuddy, that was the one that invented electricity.

Speaker 1:

Oh well, all right. Well, it's all right. So Hunter got the first answer, so one zero. All right, go for it, bella.

Speaker 3:

Okay, this is the hardest question. What's 25 times three? This?

Speaker 1:

You gotta say your name. Your name is your brother. Cuddy got it. Dude, now you're tied up. Crap, all right. I'm gonna give you a hard question. Are you boys ready? Hunter, we can't hear you very good, so you're gonna have to yell.

Speaker 4:

All right, i'm not giving you the answers.

Speaker 1:

Well, she's not gonna be able to look this one up, so, cuddy, you might have an advantage. Are you guys ready? Old farmer John gives you five apples, three times over. How many apples do you have You?

Speaker 6:

didn't say your name, well, I don't know how to give it.

Speaker 1:

Bella, should we give them the question or some color to draw?

Speaker 3:

I feel like one more ending question.

Speaker 1:

All right, this is for all the marbles. You get 69 bonus points if you win this.

Speaker 3:

Okay, are you ready? The first Thanksgiving was celebrated by Native Americans. And what other group of people?

Speaker 6:

Cuddy, hi Cuddy. The Native Americans must end the children. Dude, it's nailed it Hunter.

Speaker 1:

You just got smoked and you had two people. You had two people, dude.

Speaker 3:

They both needed to think about it for a little bit.

Speaker 1:

That was amazing. Are you smarter than a third grader? hey, boys, we're gonna get some of the kids on. Thank you very much for joining us. You guys are solid. I really appreciate you guys taking the time with us. Get back to your families, have some fun. We'll see you guys next. Dirt live show Bye, see you later. That was a fun little game. Do you think we can play that game like if we get any of the kids on the I?

Speaker 3:

honestly do a witch's car.

Speaker 1:

You think we could? yes, all right, let's see if we can. So, all right, so now we're gonna get great Kelly on and then I don't know, since the show is kind of going wacko, why don't we get Josie Watkins and chase car? so if all you guys are watching, oh, here we go. Never mind Cowboy Seroni, let's see if we can get him on real quick. Maybe Dustin will be with him too and we can do. Are you smarter than a third grader with both of them? Hopefully their planes are like not too bad right now. Yeah, oh, there we go, dallal, cowboy Seroni. What's up, buddy? You're on a tram. It sounds like huh No.

Speaker 2:

Are we? and now the UFC park. Oh, crowd you guys up in Vegas. Yeah, and Justin and I are racing tomorrow. Really, where you guys racing at Atonopah Down the head day somewhere?

Speaker 1:

Dude, you've been doing so much racing you don't even know where you're at now. Don't care. Well, thank you very much for joining us. We really appreciate it. So we're talking about all kinds of different stuff on the dirt life show. Tonight we're talking about are you smart of the third grader, a game that you love, hunter and Cody Miller. They just totally botched the whole game so you would have smoked them if you were on. We're talking about racing at MAO, at Visions. That looks actually pretty fun. That's the main thing of this show. So give us a little bit of understanding of what your last week was like at a Volkswagen bug.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, get out of this trailer. I'll give you a little tour of the UFC on that one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that sounds good.

Speaker 2:

The bug was Fine, wrang a lot, so I kind of drive be able to throw it in a little bit drifting zero power.

Speaker 1:

Dude. It looked like it was super cool, though like how was this sending it over some of those big ass jumps?

Speaker 2:

You never in a million years how you could send your Uncle Larry's Volkswagen bug over at John's. Take a little, trust me, it was a good time. Did you have any?

Speaker 1:

like do you have an opportunity to take a passenger, or did they just want seaters?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they're a choosey or not anybody? they wouldn't let anybody.

Speaker 1:

Oh, okay, it would be kind of cool to take a ride with cowboy around the short course you have, don't you think It looked like pretty big senders.

Speaker 2:

Up there's the training grounds. This is like, oh, wow, dude, how cool is that? All straight edition PT Hero for all athletes. And then here's the hall of fame. I hope there's all the all the going up on that.

Speaker 1:

Dude, yes, dude, that's, that's sick man. That's an accomplishment in itself. Right there, matt, congratulations. I don't know, i was here when I was here.

Speaker 2:

When I was here.

Speaker 1:

Alright, we'll have to see what happens. Oh, look at that Behind the scenes Training card. That's how you get faster racing. Bella, you want to go over there train yeah, then you over.

Speaker 2:

That's, y'all got a sneak peek.

Speaker 1:

Exclusive. Well, thanks, cowboy, i appreciate it. Man, that was pretty cool. So what was going on? your guys just playing God delaying? I don't know. Dustin said he was at the airport, so maybe it wasn't you, maybe it was Dustin.

Speaker 2:

Wishcom tickets and he doesn't.

Speaker 1:

He cheaped out. He got the $69 ticket. You saw it.

Speaker 2:

I'm running the car you're in or not. I'm on the line. I didn't even want you to ride in there with me, no.

Speaker 1:

What car are you guys gonna race this week?

Speaker 2:

We'll race in my car. There's a pack right there.

Speaker 1:

Oh, there she is. Yeah, give us a little bit of a breakdown on that bad boy.

Speaker 2:

Hungry. Hopefully they're gonna run at it. She's ready.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, let's check it out. Let's check that bad boy out and see what the vote, what the deal is behind that, because I got a follow up question. Dude, she looks good too.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Hey Bella, do you know, you know, you know that we'll run in customs number, like I guess.

Speaker 2:

Enough for, but I don't know many people that ran the new Garmin. But it's Yes, me too. Oh, you done, you read it.

Speaker 3:

Yes, Is it super good? Yeah, yeah, very on point.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so cowboy, just to introduce you. This is Bella Bershard, hi young racer. She loves desert as well. I noticed that he had some keen to see wheels. You see those? that was those things amazing.

Speaker 3:

Amazing. Yes, I do.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, those are good. Hey, so, since you gave us actually, this is a perfect time to ask this question. So she gave us a walk around of your old training ground and the things that you used to do, and you're giving us a walk around of the stuff that you're into Now. What's the biggest difference in I don't know, i guess lifestyle now compared to what it used to be, since you're a racer and a retired professional fighter?

Speaker 2:

Well, well one, he was listening to us. Zero money.

Speaker 1:

You know what they say. Right, if you want to become a millionaire, a race car driving, then you start with two billion or three billion.

Speaker 2:

You.

Speaker 1:

But you're obviously enjoying it though, because you race last week. Now you're racing this week. There's a lot going on in your life.

Speaker 2:

Already dating as a big opportunity to race. A bug done and that rally cross getting a key car. Oh, in trying to side of front based Reno of all, i do this. The rally cross or not, one of those elect are, i don't know, orange help.

Speaker 1:

So did you get the test one or anything? because they do those things look gnarly. No, having to know it, dude that's what I would do too, but Bella said they drove so little as they drove slicks.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, came in King and Baker. They drove slick at America.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they were who grew about on track.

Speaker 1:

Dude. That's honestly crazy to me, though, especially with all that torque dude. I.

Speaker 2:

Can't.

Speaker 1:

Dude, i want to be there when you get in that car. Let me know I'm gonna come out and see. I Think it would be pretty fun, all right, so you guys are gonna race that car this weekend, but give us a little bit of a of a background on what happened last weekend. So you went out and you raised a bug. Who won? like were you battling up front? like what was the deal?

Speaker 2:

No, i At least I definitely had a question and there's a bunch of role Crash. I thought it was both of God that I was in there, like all the cars as you are. It would have passed my way around here, but I'm not sure who started their names. They stopped the rate up. There are times I just happened to be the second Lucky position.

Speaker 1:

Oh, there you go, that's perfect. but it seemed like it was pretty crazy, like when we I just saw like social media stuff It seemed like the whole, like the whole race had so much different action going on.

Speaker 2:

It was insane. You did this much like Right, no, no, you don't put it on the gas and you take housing like you got a corner, the corner. The men keep this and then smash in the chaos.

Speaker 1:

What about those big turns? like, could you get a lot of speed coming off those big turns and come down those though?

Speaker 2:

You can be going into him to like pick the ass inside.

Speaker 1:

Like you're going up the hill, you like I think I can't.

Speaker 2:

I think I can't. Yeah, I think I would out help this car get up faster.

Speaker 1:

Like the flint. Is that on? did you get to watch them race, bella?

Speaker 3:

No, I didn't. I didn't get to watch them. Well, you should have cuz. Clearly it sounds bitch.

Speaker 1:

I know, Man. I'm glad that we got you on the show, man. It was cool to see, and one of the things that I like most about what you're doing now is the Transition, because there's a lot of people that are really enjoying watching you and your career and everything coming up and off-road. It's pretty cool to see, so you must feel pretty good about it.

Speaker 2:

Right a lot. The race community is full on biting. And now, like you, tomorrow, if I go up there, i don't have a car. So they call here, take it off my car, i'll get you later. Happy several times out on the side. Why we blown, it's the car guy was broke down next to us. Give their tire. You know, it's unbelievable. Just the frontery, the lifestyle of off-road go.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, exactly what's one of your favorite parts about watching cowboy drive?

Speaker 3:

I would say good, especially the transition like how you go from FMA. Yes, no, it's good, it's cool.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it really is cool, Right? it probably gives you motivation to be a better driver yourself, right, bella? That's very well that we really appreciate cowboy. Thanks a lot, man, and then good luck. Kick some asses weekend. tell that's nice.

Speaker 2:

I said hi, i'm not kicking it, we'll see if you get Blonde.

Speaker 1:

So we'll say you just do it. Yeah, kick him in the nuts if you see him for us. Thanks, homie, see you. Pretty cool to see, right, yeah, and like you said, though, like it's really cool that Well, first of all, he respects racing in the community and stuff by his progress, because when he first got in the car It was much different than where he's at now. Right, that's pretty bitchin up, okay. So let's get great Kelly on here and then We will just keep talking about some racing. So thank you guys very much for hanging out with us. If you don't follow the dirt life show, feel free to go over to dirt life show and give us a follow. We'll talk about some more racing. Great Kelly, hi, how are you? What's going down, man? you just got done with a week of racing. Huh, did you have a good time out there, like with all your friends?

Speaker 4:

and I loved the lazy river.

Speaker 1:

She's now my new best friend because our lazy river. That's where I will be out the whole time. Like lazy rivers are my let go to oh yeah. I love lazy rivers. The only problem with the lazy river, though, is you just never want to get off.

Speaker 2:

Yes, it.

Speaker 1:

Is pretty cool to see. Could you see if whoever holding the phone could go up to bring out a little bit closer to you so that we could see you a Little bit better and we can hear you a little bit better? And then? and so, what class did you end up racing this weekend, gray?

Speaker 4:

And it's all well limited.

Speaker 5:

How'd you do I?

Speaker 4:

Stored it out. Oh, and then I got to 9th in the in the main.

Speaker 1:

How did you feel? like you were driving pretty good, because that's actually good at any time. You could move up in position as a positive thing. Did you get to watch her at all, bella or no?

Speaker 3:

I did it. She was on fire. It's pretty good. I heard there was a lot of kids out there and stuff for a lot of good competition. Yes, there was a.

Speaker 1:

Cool, yeah, thank you for moving the phone closer. You sound much better now. What are a couple of things that we were talking about? progression in your racing, progression and Cowboys racing and the Miller Brothers Evens what was something that you saw from grand as she progressed throughout the weekend.

Speaker 3:

I would say, even watching you practice to watching some of the last races that you did, you had a lot of good progression going and moving up and going from 11th to 9th in your race, so that was pretty cool to see Yeah what about like line choices?

Speaker 1:

Did you notice he was like use her head more kind of thinking where she was put, the car?

Speaker 3:

The 170s are a lot smaller than some of the other cars, so it's the tracks more wider to them, so they have an advantage, kind of. But it was good to see you, you know, using footwork and watching you pass and getting up there.

Speaker 1:

How long have you been racing for?

Speaker 3:

Okay, that's nice.

Speaker 1:

So you've been having a good time. Obviously. What's your favorite part about racing? Champing having fun track and then if you get to go to Lazy River, what? add that in as a bonus?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, any tangos and free ice cream.

Speaker 1:

Good God, she's like my best friend seriously, but it is cool to see that you're progressing too right. So I asked Bella the same question Did you notice a difference in your speed or the way that you felt driving the car from when you first got out on the track The first day until your last lap on the last day? What was the main differences? did you feel smoother? do you feel faster? did you feel more aggressive? like, give us a breakdown. That's actually really good. Yeah, and what was your crew telling you? like your mom, your dad And your friends, were they saying the same thing? Yeah, i love that. That's the way to go. Does that mean that your car is pretty fast? Could you? could you drive a faster if it was faster?

Speaker 1:

Yes, wait this is like a true racer right.

Speaker 3:

Was there some other girls out there on the track, or was it really just you and a couple other ones?

Speaker 1:

I Yeah do you like racing against the girls or the boys? are both.

Speaker 3:

They're different drivers, huh.

Speaker 1:

Do you experience that of? I'm sorry, great, go ahead.

Speaker 4:

Against the East Coast, against in the West Coast the yeah oh, really like what's the difference?

Speaker 3:

It's coastic, these like five minute, but it was already oh.

Speaker 1:

That's true, because it's a totally different form of racing, right, was it? does that mean that you adjusted your racing style to different, to be different? What was the difference? like you just went out more aggressive, or like, give us a little bit of detail. I.

Speaker 4:

I Go out there a little bit.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and you have to give the they call it mechanical sympathy on the car. Right, you'd like I went as a five minute race. There's zero mechanical sympathy, it's just go. Did you feel? kind of the same way, bella do the most shorter races the less time, the harder on the car. What about when you're out there racing against the guys and the girls like, do you notice a big difference in the way that?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I would say the guys are a lot more aggressive, But girls can get pretty aggressive too and it's just. They're just different people and it's really cool to Get in there with the boys and stuff too.

Speaker 1:

So if you were talking to Gray, like if you were spotting for her, what would you tell her? like as as advice, like, oh, this boys coming up on you do this, or this girls coming up on you. You kind of negotiate the personality of the driver.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I would mostly say stay focused on who's ahead of you and keep your corners tied and make sure you're always in the game. Never lose your focus and with stuff like that. So keep in mind.

Speaker 1:

What does your spotter usually tell you? great?

Speaker 4:

You know send.

Speaker 1:

And keep it. You know what my spotter used to always have to tell me? right, you would have to tell me to breathe, because I Would get so anxious and so excited in the car that if I didn't breathe I would start like making mistakes. So if I breathe and I calmed out, it makes me so much more like nice and easy on the steering wheel and like way better. Does anybody ever tell you that It's because you can get so excited racing, because it's so much fun, right? Oh, hey, you know what I was noticing too. Bella, did you get a new wrap on your car?

Speaker 3:

I did.

Speaker 1:

Do you want me to show people what it looks like? because it looks pretty cool, pretty rad. So I don't know if you, if you know this about me, gray, but I'm really into bright colors. Look at that man. That thing is pretty cool, right? So what's your favorite part about that new sticker kit? What's your favorite part about the new sticker kit?

Speaker 3:

okay, It's like it has the like kind of stripes on it.

Speaker 4:

That's like it looks like really.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, totally. And look what she did to the wheels, bella. Yeah, you see that. Yeah, pink in the front stuck out there. Oh, so you could notice her more than any other people, huh.

Speaker 3:

So we're clean for yeah. No, it's like a little highlighter out there.

Speaker 1:

Yes, That's perfect. Do you know? what's funny is people say team safety color sometimes, but that's what I like to. Yeah, i'm big into the bright colors, right? What was some of the funnest? What'd you say?

Speaker 4:

I'm pack a pinky color, oh yeah what?

Speaker 1:

do you sign autograph with pink or yellow? Perfect, look at her. Yes, so, and if you get a pink one, you're like special. Oh yeah, pink is the best, so. so what was one of your funnest points of the whole weekend, right?

Speaker 3:

The track the ultra, for that was so fun.

Speaker 1:

Did you guys get to go on it? What'd you guys take on that course?

Speaker 4:

So it kind of widely like a little part of trees. It's like whoops. Then we like one thing grass crazy.

Speaker 1:

Does that mean that you want to ultra for? Does that mean that you want to ultra for?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, she got bit. No, I said for you glass.

Speaker 1:

Do you want to drive an ultra for? So mom and dad are gonna have to pony up for that one now Be pretty expensive, right? But yeah, so you got a good race. That's really cool, and battling with all your friends must have been really fun. It looked like the track had like a lot of traction. I saw a couple of the pictures that you guys sent over that we posted online for you. You were roosting totally, so you must have been like slide through the corners giving a full throttle It. Do you remember your days given a full throttle and a little one?

Speaker 3:

seven days. What do you see her?

Speaker 1:

Does it bring back memories?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it really does.

Speaker 1:

That's kind of cool, right? Yeah, and I knew, did you see your take off her helmet or anything? because I've seen her take off her helmet after the races a few times. She's smiling from ear.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, she's a big ol grin.

Speaker 1:

See there's that grand is coming out. Great, you must have had a lot of fun on the track. But what was some of the funnest things that you did off the track, just with your family, not the lazy river like in the pits? Did you learn how to work on your car? You help mom and dad's grill on the hamburgers, like what was happening in the pits? Really hang out with all your friends or with family. Bella, did you get to hang out with her at all?

Speaker 3:

No, i didn't. I said hi to you a couple times. I saw you in the golf cart go back and talk about yeah it's great that busy. Yeah, she's pretty famous.

Speaker 1:

That's what I was gonna say, dude. She's not like going on, yeah, since. what's next on the schedule, gray?

Speaker 3:

You have to go to a Gilbert race race how I ended it and it go to For all you toffers or for work.

Speaker 1:

Dang man, you got a lot going on with racing. No, you Are. You gonna race the same car there. Just make some adjustments and go out there and give a full throttle. That's gonna be pretty fun right, all right. Well, i want to say thank you for you coming on the show, thank you to your parents for helping set this all up, and you did a great job this weekend, so I want to see you keep improving every single time you get out of the track. All right, bella, what do you guys say to her when just wishing you luck for all your upcoming races.

Speaker 3:

I hope everything goes good and I'm really excited to see you, girl, in this industry. It's really cool.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, girl All right, yes, all right, we'll see you later. Great, have a good time. We're gonna get Josie Watkins on and chase car. Thank you very much, gray. All right, so let's get the chase car and Josie Watkins on. You guys can join. Request to join anytime. Man, like I know she's a little bit shy. She might have been a little bit nervous, but it makes me feel so happy to see the kids not only wanting to participate in racing, but to be able to put themselves out there like this. Right, because it's pretty nerve-wracking. Right, like when you're in a race car. You're in your zone, you're in your own little space here in your own helmet. You get to do your own thing, you get to focus on what you got going on. You have people around you supporting you when you have to do media stuff, i mean, like it gets pretty crazy sometimes, yeah, and I think it's fantastic that she offered to come on the show and she's doing such a great job at both.

Speaker 3:

Yeah it's pretty cool.

Speaker 1:

All right, so let's see if we can get Josie Watkins on, and then we'll see if chase car can join us as well. So give me a little bit of background on. Hi, josie, how are you Good, how are you Doing awesome. I like your glasses too. Do you have to wear those to help your vision, or do you just wear those because they're cool?

Speaker 4:

So the restriction on my drive it license in the state of Missouri. So I have to put glasses full-time and then when I race I wear contacts.

Speaker 1:

Oh wow, no way, really. That's the same with me. I don't have any restrictions in Missouri, though, thankfully, so we're gonna get chase car on in a little bit here. But give us a little bit of a background. Josie, how long are you in racing?

Speaker 4:

I think that's been a while, but 2019 I really picked up and I won my first national championship cross-country racing. My coach is actually Travis Warner. I think he's watching right now. You get me and me and Travis on a racing again, or racing with each other for 2019 to current, and I've won two national championships 2019 and 2020. And then 2021 was like my trial year and short versus. I never really ran up before. And then 2022, i lost a championship by a point and the woman's in a class. I was racing at mid-america and I lost. Oh, i'm as doubt as it stated.

Speaker 1:

That's gnarly.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm chasing down three championships this year. Oh wow, Look at this girl's head out do everything Overachiever over here.

Speaker 1:

That is pretty cool. And then. So I have a funny story that. So Travis pointer and I we drove pretty far To I forgot where the race was, but anyways, we were sitting in a car for a while because he picked me up at the airport And we were talking about a young girl and I think it was you see. So yeah, and he said that you had a lot of talent. So it's cool to see and it's cool to finally talk with you on the show. So I'm glad that you were able to line it up, bella. So thank you. So we're gonna get Chase Carr on here in just a second. I'm gonna have him come on. So, josie, tell us a little bit about your race at visions this last week.

Speaker 4:

Visions and actually really good for me. I was really happy We didn't have the first one. Oh, we just had the one race and done, because I last race I got him to a problem where I broke a bull joint and I just got Pied-pied the day, and so I was really happy how we just had the one race and I went out for the woman's turbo class, gave it Two laps, i got the lead and I held the whole lead for the rest of the race and then woman's in a. I had the lead and then amateur and I went in the fourth and then Dude, that's a lot to take in right now.

Speaker 1:

That's crazy, right? That's such a good weekend. I welcome chase Carter the show. What's up, chase? All right, yeah, good man, how are?

Speaker 5:

you. Oh, pretty good Little sore, very same your Dana.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's kind of crazy, Ray. And then Hunter Miller was actually talking about being sore too. Was it because you guys were pushing the car so hard?

Speaker 3:

Yeah no, from all that pit bike in. Oh, is that what he's trying to say Is?

Speaker 1:

that what really happened, yeah.

Speaker 5:

But I add.

Speaker 1:

Hey, put this off a little bit closer, or maybe put some headphones in, like your airpods or something. It's, the audio is gonna blogging out. Yeah, give me one, it's like okay, cool. All right, josie, why he talks about some of that stuff. What was your favorite class that you raced this past week?

Speaker 4:

Woman's turbo. I was like so proud of myself I've been hunting down a win since round two because I didn't end up racing it round one And I was hunting down a win and I finally got three man, like it was just such an emotional race, like I came across the finish line and I just start falling as a man. I finally won this class.

Speaker 3:

That's rad That. No, i was right behind you in the women's day cause I was like dude This girl's pushing.

Speaker 1:

Were you just going crazy thinking about that, because that's a lot of anticipation. sitting in the car, i Need it.

Speaker 4:

It's just some nerve-wrapping like I get in, like I get re-emailing earth's bar, go on the trap and then Like I'll just sit there in the car and just get like jitters and everything I don't know. It's just like every way for the race, i just get jitters.

Speaker 1:

Is it because you're like thinking about too much for yourself or you're like thinking about your competition, like Bella over here?

Speaker 4:

I'm gonna spit like all the right line. That's like my main thing. When I have a perfect race, i'm ecstatic. I got to be back to the wall.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's actually a good point to bring up for Chase too. Like Chase, you're racing what? what's it called now the NA expert class? Yeah, okay, yeah, that's where it is. I remembered now expert is right before pro or whatever. Uh, so, yeah, so when you're in that class, like you have to be like exactly what Josie's saying. You have to be on point with pretty much every single line, like there's hardly any mistakes that could be made.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's. Uh, it's very stacked now like pushing in America. There's a god. I think there was 20 pro in a cars, so you have to be on your toes. Yeah, that is.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that is crazy. Did you guys qualify? Yeah, how'd you do in qualifying?

Speaker 5:

I qualified P1 but I'm gonna see race and There a couple 360s that qualified good. What happened in the heat race? One story short I forgot to put in or will drive, so I'm lying. So we made it into what that was. I'm gonna say it's a game move, dude.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, i, you know. It's funny, though is I've done that before too, like, and not just like once, like maybe 69, it's like. It's been pretty bad, like when I first started racing side by side. But I tell you this I wish that everybody had to drive in two wheel drive because it's so much fun. No, it is not. I love it, dude. I wanted to, i wanted it all the time. But Uh, josie, and you're forgot to put into four-wheel drive.

Speaker 4:

I've actually had a front disc go out in the middle of a race, so Did you do pretty good or did you spin out like chase?

Speaker 1:

There you go, see it is. So it is kind of harder. Driver to look, right I think, to a driver makes it harder so that you have to like drive your car completely different.

Speaker 5:

Especially on the track.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and that track did look slick, right like. It looked like it was just like ice racing, like sometimes it could be soaking wet, but if they like till it like motto, it's like it's good. But it did look pretty slick. So During the race, did you start out front or did you have to work your way through the pack? Give us a little bit of a breakdown chase.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, so I called And then I went into the heat race, starting P1. I think my first lap is when I did my first 360. I almost snatched the port of body, but I don't know how I saved it.

Speaker 1:

How is that possible? You were that far close to the track, to the center of the track.

Speaker 5:

On the inside there was like a. I don't know why there was a port of body there, but I like spun out going off the jump and I did 360 around it. How do I know? it's not good?

Speaker 1:

Where you just looking at the port of body going. Oh Jesus.

Speaker 5:

I That was on the radio saying if I hit anything gonna get me out of the car.

Speaker 1:

Josie, could you imagine?

Speaker 4:

My parents used to do that fairly, make this microns and a trash company back when we used to have port of cars, and so I know all about that.

Speaker 1:

That's why Josie is so fast. They're lining up trash can, trash pots all over the place. She has the body. Oh, that's like her practice, dude, that's hilarious man, was it well? so what happened next?

Speaker 5:

chase. I got helping more in 360s and then I think on the lap before the midway I spun out in like the back section after the rhythm section. I got smacked by a couple people and cleaning crews and then I think someone him who is there, and it popped This higher I can be, which sucks, but uh, that's a lot of carnage for your guys. Pits, she's the full back. Oh, i'll have to say she's out. You were done making donuts. I Had them that. I was dying to my midway.

Speaker 1:

That's hilarious. Who's your favorite dirt bike riders? me, yeah, jet.

Speaker 2:

Lawrence Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Well, i was just gonna say jet Lawrence, because they both have donuts in common. That's pretty cool, though Hey, did you get to watch any of the girl racing, like with Bella?

Speaker 5:

and Josie. Yeah, I went down. Bella did a lesson.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so it's kind of cool to see the girls battling it out, right, alright. So Now that we're talking about like battling and the race racing and all that stuff, give us a little bit of a breakdown, josie, on what happened when you get and Bella were out on course together.

Speaker 4:

I Basically pulled the whole shot off the start and I just held it and a girl tried to pass me for a second And she caught the tire going into the S turns and she right, oh, i was that was nuts. You saw, it.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I was right in front of me.

Speaker 1:

What happened? like She just never let up.

Speaker 3:

No, she and Josie had the line and it kind of just fumbled in and then she ended up hitting the tire right by the corner and Explosion from there We really got like right on me.

Speaker 4:

I was like yeah, gosh.

Speaker 1:

Did you see that chase, that axler?

Speaker 5:

No, I did not do this sounds gnarly.

Speaker 3:

Women get rowdy out there.

Speaker 5:

They were nearly, you know, youth class, i think it was. He like flipped over Like a spring car crash like I Dude.

Speaker 1:

That's crazy. Well, you guys are giving it the beans, obviously. What was next after that, josie?

Speaker 4:

I just obviously had it after. It's hard to finish and I like heck, yeah, i just they did again.

Speaker 3:

No, she was pushing, taking good lines. You definitely pushed me as a driver, for sure.

Speaker 1:

So we were talking about being in the zone and I want to ask Chase the same question. But like, could you tell there was a big difference between when you first got out on track, like during the first portion, now the week, compared to the last lap. So you were making out the track, like in your speed, your comfortability, all that. But let's say Josie answer first. Jason, that hold you guys, it's all good.

Speaker 4:

I read aims and lines of my cars and Travis will. The data all got on his device and I was only like 20 or 30 percent. They're all like. I was like I and I really need to pick it up and then, towards like the end of the weekend and stuff, i really, really picked it up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's actually super cool at Travis will probably give you the data and tell you exactly how you did. But when you're like 20 or 30 percent throttle or whatever you just said 30, 40 That means that you're negotiating throttle properly on the track, right, because it's not necessarily how much throttle you give it, it's how smooth and how much momentum and rolling speed that you keep on the track through the corners and through the straightaways. So, depending on how the grippy the track is or out grippy in this case, yeah, there you go, 100 percent throttle less than 30 percent of the time. So you were really really negotiating the track conditions.

Speaker 4:

It sounds like Yeah, i mean the two practice lock crack is alive and out. It was like kind of like muddy a little bit So I was like trying to pick out the lines and everything, but definitely coming in.

Speaker 1:

So the woman's sober is like I really You, could you tell a little bit of that? no?

Speaker 3:

definitely really there was some gnarly progression there.

Speaker 1:

You were you like, were you trying to follow that level of progression though? Yeah, yes, because it was probably elevating both your guys game.

Speaker 3:

Yes, yeah, definitely chase it.

Speaker 1:

That's cool. And then so chase the same kind of question to you. Do you probably had that same level of growth, or whatever speed?

Speaker 5:

throughout the week. Yeah, so in the broke last you know, be like on your toes, thanks. Especially, coming into your track, you're trying to figure out the best setup and how you can go faster. So throughout the week we're always making setup adjustments, clutching and chalk tuning and tires and all over the place trying to make Yes, fast, yeah.

Speaker 1:

And you probably notice a lot too, especially like because the level of competition in your guys's class is very difficult, like the girls is. Now You're fighting for milliseconds. Now, like you said, my side race didn't used to be like that. It's pretty sick.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I think in college playing I had 1389 and then second place was like 1391 or 139 plus Yeah so like two tenths or something.

Speaker 1:

That's crazy, dude. But that is cool, man. It keeps you on your toes, that's for sure, because you can't make a mistake. Yeah, we'll give us a little bit of a rundown of, like how the the motors went for you, chase.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, so fighting is pretty good. I had my basses out and I can't and qualified P1. I went to the key, had my style points and I saw, but I called on a little bit and brought myself back up to first at the end of that and Then and the main event I can't remember- Oh, that good you ran that.

Speaker 1:

He would see when I talk about the zone. Yeah, like you just focused It's. It's like I've packed out.

Speaker 5:

I was just doing so good I Awesome battle, i think I. Well, i grabbed the whole shot. We were doing rolling start. So I thought I And Tina came out of nowhere at Elm back. Oh, so we bowed out the rest of the lap. I think someone said we switched track.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was. Oh wait, really, he's one of the kids that I want to get on the dirt live show, so if you guys know him, like the, link them up with me you're totally gonna want right now. I will. He's more than happy to join if you, or we are more than happy to have him join if he wants to come on. But yeah, man, dude, like those battles are, like that's some of the best memories that you'll ever have, like, cuz those are such fun races.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, even, oh yeah, in the char and I was watching. Even though I technically didn't have to run, i still wanted to battle out cuz man, i would have won all but and.

Speaker 1:

Well, josh just said man, the last pass, last lap pass on Sean Hess was crazy. What was that all about?

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I Knew my smaller as an episode on the last laps and the key rates have my style points. So when I was coming back up to do the pack I saw where he was kind of a little wide in one turn. So the last lap by a when outside in on him and Was it hard to do or did you just like?

Speaker 1:

because that means that you had set it up like Corners and corners in advance, right?

Speaker 5:

Yeah, i was watching his line as lap and core but I was a little far back So I can't really make it stick there. But like came back clear, he kind of like swath a little bit off the jump. So when we landed, anything I had to do right there, or else is I'm gonna go.

Speaker 1:

That's crazy. Like, honestly, when I hear Chase talk like this, it makes me so happy because I can he see his photo brain working like in his off-road car. It's kind of crazy. I can't request to join so you can jump on. But Uh, yes, the Josie, like when you hear like chase talking, how do you feel like you pay a lot of attention to the way that he operates, like when he's out there racing so that you can Be better, or like how do you use it to your advantage so you can be a better driver?

Speaker 4:

So I watch a lot of the pro turbo classes. So me and Travis always sit together and we watch like Kyle Chaney and stuff and we always talk about look at the lines Kyle's like he's look at the momentum He's carrying into the corner of like. It really helps watching the pro guys because me and Travis sit there and like analyze it all races.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that does help a lot, bella. You and I were just talking about that, about, like, how you can visually see and take those visual cues from Yeah, the pro drivers right? What are some things, josie, that you learned when you were watching them?

Speaker 4:

I'm gonna like clean up my lines better and how to take my corners better, and me and Travis are talking like on the corners That I had a holland's with like I could sit there and watch Kyle. Kyle would do them literally perfectly.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's kind of crazy. Katie, what's up, dude? How are you there's going? dude, we're just hearing that you and Chase were battling in that last race Never a lot of fun. How was it for you, though? because we were just asking Chase like, and he's like dude, it's so fun.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, i've been hams the whole year, so I've been trying to keep my face. I probably did it. It's lost race and Chase definitely made it for me.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but that makes you guys both girls drivers, doesn't it?

Speaker 5:

Oh yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so it's the same thing kind of happened with Josie too right, like you're trying to give her as much trouble as possible, she's trying to get out there and win. and then obviously in the turbo class She had a lot of competition too, right, josie?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's really weird running my little RS1 against the big X3's and stuff. I was like man Oh.

Speaker 1:

This whole time I thought she was talking. She had a turbo car.

Speaker 4:

No, I had to look twice. One's that.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so you have one that's like a mod car and one of the stock car kind of thing, or what.

Speaker 4:

They're both basically identical. I just have a backup car. If you go to my Instagram, i have some pretty rad pictures of some of my rec I had, so it's really nice to have a backup car.

Speaker 1:

Well, so, and we're watching her. We're talking on Instagram right now, but please say your whole Instagram name so that people on iTunes can go check you out.

Speaker 4:

Audible Instagram name is Josie Watkins, jos EY.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's perfect. So go check it out and look at her glasses. To common, her glasses does. They're all I said, kana, what was the funnest battling that you had all weekend? Was it that race of Chase?

Speaker 5:

Oh yeah, i was definitely a shake. I think, like you said, we're back up for better and time already, dude, that's so wild.

Speaker 3:

Did you watch it? I see you up the whole time. You watch my hands on my head, really the entire time.

Speaker 1:

It was like the edge of your seat. Yes, what do they say? give me the whole seat, but I only need the edge. When you're watching Chase.

Speaker 3:

I was like canons in front. Oh no, it's face. Oh no, it's canons here.

Speaker 1:

Do they have areas that you can't see and all of a sudden one of the dudes would come out? That's good, that's wild way. What tires were you guys running Like the short, the short course, kind of tires.

Speaker 5:

I.

Speaker 1:

Couldn't hear you chase. Okay, so they had a little bit of grip. Man, what was the some of the funnest parts of the track then? cuz like we were talking with Hunter and Cody Miller And it seems like the track is kind of I don't know coming into its own, like there's gonna be new lines that develop. But what was the track like that you guys had, or what was the funnest part of the track this past week?

Speaker 5:

I definitely have. But my best parts in the track And the finish line jump first S term. That's where I'd catch chase the whole time and chase just Pacing me like creeps S turn heads. That's what me is such a good.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I see what you're saying. So you guys had different areas of the track. Was that because your cars were better or because you guys were better in those areas?

Speaker 5:

my notes. Pace was just better. I'm There, you We have, we have two different styles and you're yeah and uh, motive.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, that's actually a good thing to talk about, right like I'm gonna ask this two ways, i'm gonna chase. What's the difference in your driving styles? that, josie? I want you to tell me what you saw from the outside watching the race, so chase you go first.

Speaker 5:

Um, i mean, kenan started with that super wide bar So he always slides it around and I'm more of like a not lost slide and around for fun, but it's not always faster. So I kind of drive mine like a go-kart and that's where I kind of build them in the in the S turns, but Yeah, Well, when?

Speaker 1:

so when I hear that, like the first thing cause I didn't watch and Josie's going to tell us what it looked like from the outside if she watched the race. But so when I hear that I think what Chase is doing inside the car is managing with two feet, Yes, so he's pedaling the car and he's using less input on the steering wheel. But when he says the canin is driving, i don't want to say like a wild man, but basically sliding it all over the place, right Like that, means that you're using your right foot a lot more and you're giving a lot more steering input. So what did you notice, josie, when you were watching the race?

Speaker 4:

And I know all this like chase with tight-knit corners and canin would go like a little wide in them, like they always like put 12 back and forth how they did corners And I found that like really interesting. They were right by like on that, but I were doing like two completely different things at each corner.

Speaker 1:

That's so cool to see though, right, bella?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, Both equally as fast. but you guys just have a different talent.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, there you go. Travis Pudder said let Duke style Yeah, it's just hammered down, the right foot is just like a brick on the gas Canin. When you go through like a, photos like that or races like that, does that tell you good ways to improve your professional driving capabilities?

Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah, this is how we do it. Been watching Chase how he's doing it for tracks is very much, though I think I'm actually being invited to a car thing. They started making their car.

Speaker 1:

Look see, it's rubbing off on everybody right. And then you know, Chase, that they're gonna have an outdoor go car track in Minnessey now, right.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, i stole that. I knew the K1 speed one Did we're going. Yeah, i still have my car in the garage.

Speaker 1:

Dude, there you go. So we're gonna get a whole crew together and go out there. We all got a dice on the track So I can see some of the stuff that Canin's talking about. Like, i'll see your lines and stuff and see if I can just go Kyle with Duke on you. I think it'd be pretty fun. All right, so let's go through. The guys at Cointower Sports have been kind enough to let us stay here for a long time, but we're gonna have to wind this down. So each one of you guys please tell me your favorite part of the weekend, whether it was racing or hanging out, and then you guys can thank your sponsors and then we're gonna get out of here. So, josie, why don't you go first, and then Chase, and then Canin?

Speaker 4:

I really just like hanging out with that Quellen Truett and all of them and then hanging out with Travis and his wife and his kids and everyone.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that is good right, The off-road community is one of the best. How about you Chase?

Speaker 5:

That clean riding pit bike started. We ended up on the old track one night. it's not very fun pit bikes, but it's fun to drive. Yeah, definitely hanging out with friends And obviously racing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it is pretty cool, right, and those are the memories that you'll never forget, right. It's just being with your family and all that stuff, so you gotta cherish those moments. I know I sound like a old fart when I say that, but Josie's shaking her head right there So she totally knows Was that kind of your same favorite thing, though?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I would say just hanging out with everybody and having everyone's presence in company.

Speaker 1:

Did you get to hang out with all these cool kids too?

Speaker 3:

I unfortunately didn't get to hang out with Josie hopefully soon but I'm always around Chase, so So he's already getting all the hangout time?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, all right. so, josie, please give us a shout out to all your sponsors.

Speaker 4:

Oh boy, there's a lot. Travis obviously his business crash addicts. DFS, jody Hickman, extreme Machine, jimmy Owen, like that will appear they're pretty rad And DXR Rob the Aussie, he obviously made my awesome fire suit. OMF Wheels, cruiser, tire, drps, alondra Racing products, we Racing, geforce Racing they do amazing work on the shocks And I don't really know. I have quite a few people, but I don't think they're cool.

Speaker 1:

Hey, you gotta say mom and dad too. Don't forget mom and dad. Yeah, but it's for good, right, because you're learning so many lessons and you're doing such a great job. Well, you did a really good job, from what I hear. Unfortunately, i didn't get to see you, but, like Bella said, i hope I get to hang out with you and see you next time too. So killer job this past weekend, all right. Well, we'll see you later, josie. Thank you very much for coming on. No, All right, chase. Give a shout out to all your sponsors and your parents.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, i had to give a shout out to our parents for obviously getting me out there. My mom, my dad, my grandpa, alondra, routification, clarus, razor, fox Shocks, gps, customs Game and See Wheels. Manly's goes on. Nacho West Coast Motorsports, jess and Andy, i can't thank them enough. Manly's goes on.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, there's a lot of people that do help you. but another thing is like that I always think is kind of cool is that you guys are talking about each other, like you guys are so young and you have such a bright future ahead of you, and you guys are looking at each other. When you said it before, bella, you said it's so neat to see the kids come out of the cars with a smile and they're like best friends and they get on the tracks. You see the same camaraderie with these two and everybody else. right, yeah, yes, so like those things are really really meaningful. All right, chase. well, we're gonna battle as soon as that Go-Kart Shack comes in a minute. So, hey, great job this weekend, dude. I appreciate it. Later We're talking to you guys. Yeah, me too. All right, kaden. so, man, we just had them. thank all their partners and stuff too. Why don't you give a shout out to all your supporters and everybody as well?

Speaker 5:
